Keggle Question

So I've been pretty lazy to getting around to this, but I have a Sanke Keg which I have cut the hole in the top of to convert it to a keggle. I purchased the hardware (thermometer with sight tube, drain tap) and was wondering:

What would be the best locations for these to be put in? I'll need 2 holes. should they be beneath the handles on either side? What do people normally do?

I put my weldless bulkhead drain and pickup tube as close to the bottom as possible...right above the bottom weld.

Rather than put it under one of the handles, I thought it cleaner looking to put it 90-degrees from the handles.

You could put the valve at the bottom and sight glass just above it.

Thanks for the input. Do you have to tip the keggle at all to get the last bit of wort?

My dip tube sits pretty close to the bottom of the keggle but yes, I tip on occassion.

just don't put it above a vent/drain hole it gets real hot above the small holes in the lower ring

i have not secured a dip tube (stainless) yet. with the weld-less bulkhead installed right above the bottom weld one only needs to tilt if the last quart or so is desired.
