keggle on Bayou Classic burner

When I brewed the other day I almost lost it all when I was stirring. My keggle barely fits on the burner. What have you done to secure it better.

I'm a welder and just plan on welding braces onto it but I would like to see what others have done.

Same problem here. Mine just barley balances on it.

I have a similar setup and what I use is a
BBQ grate on the burner so the keggle stays flat and level.

Removed the burner and mounted in my own stand. I also changed the burner-keggle distance at the same time (to 2"). There's another thread around here which did a comparison between 4" and 2", the 2" height won hands down:

I use keggles on bayou sq14s with no issues. Maybe just welds up a for leg stand like the sq14s have..

Lacking both welding equipment and welding skills I cut 9 inch pieces of drill rod and hose clamped them to the legs of my burner to provide a fence of sorts.

I sold mine at a garage sale and got the SQ14. It's square, so the keggle won't roll around on the top. Before that, I was hanging the keg from the rafters of the garage so it wouldn't wobble.

I know this is a zombie thread but I recently fixed this issue with mine and took a pic to share in case anyone else was searching for this issue. I got some good BBQ grates and cut a couple grooves in the burner frame. They cost about $10-11 each. Tested it out and is 1000% more solid. I also took a pic of the grates I got if anyone is interested.

I bought a Texas Smokers burner instead of a bayou classic. It kicks butt without modifications. I do like the use of the weber grill that's a very good solution.
