Hello brewers! First time posting and longtime lurker. First I would like to say that the community here is worth it weight in gold!

I am in the process of pieceing together a single teir system. I have one keg converted to a keggle. I am looking to do my first 10gal batch next week! My concern is this. I have yet to purchase a false bottom and pickup tube, and my primary wort chiller is the Blichmann Therminator. I am extermely worried about using this without any form of filtration. Obvoiously to avoid clogging it. Is there any cheap project builds to make such items? I have looked around on Grainger and McMaster-carr. Preforated sheets of stainless are very expensive. I am trying to avoid this due to budgetary concerns. I am looking to make a 15in foldable false bottom with a hole for the pickup tube. I know a pickup tube can easily be made so that is not a huge concern. Even something temporary would be great as I have not brewed in over three months! I am starting to loose my mind! Lol. Am I being over cautious? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just to add. I have constructed a hop spider to deal with the hop material. My main concern is what actually does leak out of the hop bag, and the cold/hot break clogging the chiller.
