my plan is to use a keg as my boil kettle. and i was planning on using a dip tube to get as much liquid out without having to lift it, etc.
BUT
do you think that the dip tube will clog up with all the hop particles and sludge thats usually left at the bottom of the kettle after the boil?

do you think i should mount it a little higher? or any other opinions/options i could do

Search Bobby from Nj on you tube he has a good video on a diy hop blocker type project made from stainless mesh

My solution on a keggle is old school. I use a SS "brillo" pad over the end of the dip tube. The caveat is it needs at least one ounce of leaf hops in the boil (not flame out) to assist the filtering especially if you use finnings and BiaB.
