Kegged beer, then fridge gave out

I kegged a Blue Moon Clone, (thanks Biermuncher) which tastes awesome. I just got done force carbing it for about an hour, 30 psi, shook it three times. I then noticed that my fridge, which is older, had completely stopped working. I'm not sure how long it will take me to get another or get it going. Is it too late to empty the keg into a bucket, add sugar and bottle? Will the extra carbonation cause bottling problems?

Why do you want to bottle? Leave the beer in the keg until you get another fridge. Unless funds would prevent this, would it be more than a few weeks? I would either fix the fridge or try to replace it if possible. Is it a kegerator or just a fridge? Meaning, have you mounted faucets.

To answer your question. You can leave the keg be and vent it until all the co2 is gone, venting it several times over a few days. Once you know its flat, bottle.

I would leave it in the keg and find a free fridge on craigslist.

Ya need a new fridge, but until then:

Solution 1: Get keglove and ice wraps. Edwort detailed same recently
Solution 2: Bucket, Ice, leave in fridge to insulate.
Solution 3: Get beer carbonated, chill, bottle using BM's "we don't need no stinking beer gun" method.

Obviously in your current situation all solutions listed require making plenty of ice in the freezer...
