Hi All. Looking to get a kegerator put together to have integrated into my new kitchen, built into a cabinet, with lines running up into tower mounted on top of the countertop (next to the sink hopefully). One concern I have for right now, is whether a regular fridge that has been used by others(for instance, Danby) would get too hot closed in like that, if there would be ventilation issues needing to be addressed to make things work as intended? Anybody else done a similar project? I see the proper front venting kegerators for $1500-$2000, but was hoping to not spend that much so I can build a small walk in cooler in my shed/brewing area.

Personally, if I was adding it to my kitchen I'd buy a unit designed for it. I think adding a home built unit to a kitchen might mess up the look of the kitchen. I also think a regular mini-fridge would throw a lot of heat and, if not properly ventilated, may cause premature failure. Just my opinion.
