Kegerator temp differential

I got one of these for x-mas from my lovely wife and kids

works great but the only trouble I am having is the temp fluctuation when the unit cuts in it will cool to 37F and then wont cut in again till it hits 45f there is no fan in the unit I think this maybe some of the trouble

That differential is typical of most built-in fridge controllers. I doubt adding a "stirring" fan will make any difference wrt the differential.

On the up side, the controller is sensing the air temperature, which will change a lot more rapidly than what's in your keg...
