Kegerator Question

Can I cover the exterior of my danby kegerator with a wood siding?
I notice that the outside of it gets pretty warm during the summer while the compressor is on.
I have a bunch of cedar pickets and I thought about covering it with them, like Ive seen y'all do with your keezers.
