Kegerator purchase

I have the opportunity to buy a 6-8 year old Summit SBC-500J model kegerator, but don't know how good the deal is.

Guy is asking for $300. Includes 2 towers, new lines, 6 taps and 2/3 full co2 tank. Deal or no deal ?? Thanks !

Seems like a pretty decent deal to me. How in good condition is the kegerator and the equipment?

Only seen pictures but spoke with the dealer and he said he used it periodically. Going to check it out tomorrow to see how it looks/works.

It is a steal as long as the box is not rusted out. The compressors can be replaced for about $600 to $700 if it needs to be. Check the Date stamped on the CO2. It may need to be re-certified.

We have an old Beverage Air one that the compressor went out. We got it for $400 five years ago and had to replace fan and compressor this last summer. Like a new one now.

Not that good a deal. I got a brand new one (different brand) at Home Depot last year for $250 at the end of the season.

I had thought it was a full size one when I said a deal before.

My worry is if I have to replace parts and how I'll know if they still have them available and how long this may be down the road. Thanks again.
