Keg to Boil Kettle Conversion

So I just got a keg what I would like to convert into a boil kettle. My question is since the very bottom of the keg is convex it will not sit evenly on my burner stand. What should i do? Hammer the bottom? or Modify the burner the support the keg on the outer most part of the keg?

I had an old BBQ grill welded to the bottom to make it flatter. Just have to check before you weld. Then spot weld it flat before making a bead.
