I recently brewed a Bavarian heffewiezen it's been in the keg at 20 PSI for three days I release the pressure went to pour a beer at 12 psi and is still flat tasting?? Why is this happening any ideas?? Never had this problem my last three batches

My gauge never shows completely empty. With my tank in the fridge the gauge is pretty useless. I never get a true reading on how much is left in the tank. Make sure you have co2.

I have plenty of co2. I can release it all from keg and hear it fill back up when I open co2 valve to keg. I noticed there is a small leak at the poppet co2 side when I disconnect the gas in from the keg. But only leaks if it's more than 30psi filled in the keg and with the gads connect off?? Please help. Why is it so under carbed even after days and days??

What temperature is the keg at? Are we talking fridge temperatures or room temperature?

Regardless, 3 days is not nearly long enough at 20 psi. Maybe at 30 psi you'd be carbed by then, but I set mine at 12-14 psi and it takes about 2 weeks to fully carb up. Be patient!

Fridge temp is around 39-41 degrees. I have finally set it to 14psi and left it. I like heffewiezens on the more carbed side. I just don't get it. Usually I can turn up to 30-40 psi for 48hrs, purge keg and drop to 10-12 psi and bam, perfect carbination. This time, no bueno

Are you sure it's not leaking the entire time? Maybe you only notice it when the pressure gets higher?

Either way, 3 days is not much time for carbonation to set in. The most reliable method is 2wks or so at your serving pressure (10-12psi-ish, depending on your desired carb level and temp).

No bueno - because the method described in the first post was different than what usually/allegedly produced "perfect carbination" [sic] in the past?

Bottom line, the so-called "set 'n' forget" method is so easy, literally any brewer can use it successfully, every time. It's amazing!

Cheers! ;)
