Hey guys,

Background, I used to keg a couple of years ago. Sold my stuff. Recently got tired of bottling and purchased one new Torpedo keg.

The keg has port with cut groove on the in side, port with no groove on the out side.

My gray gas connector will connect to either port. They black liquid connector will not connect to either port.

If I remember correctly, each connector should only fit its own port type. If so, this leads me to think that my keg has two gas ports (even though one is grooved and one is not). I am baffled.

Please help.

I did contact MoreBeer. They think that the keg has two gas ports and they are shipping me another liquid port. I hope that fixes it. It seems weird that I would have one gas port with a groove and one without. Is there a such thing as a gas port with no groove?

Some old kegs I got had a different style nut for the gas line. It was as round with bumps instead of hexagon

Every one of my kegs/posts has a notched gas port and smooth liquid ports. Do you have photos of them?

Hey guys. Thanks for the replies. I went by my LHBS this morning. He tried one of his black connectors on it and it didn't seem to fit either. Then he put his full body weight on it and it snapped into place. Now mine connects with a medium amount of force.

Scratch everything I said previously. I guess it was just super tight right out of the box.

Yep it still works. In fact I had wondered about it being stuck in the beginning and removed all the guts to try and attach the connector, still didn't work for me. It holds pressure when the connector is disconnected and flows when you have the connector attached. I'm hoping that it was just some slight out of tolerance thing that got "formed" back into tolerance. Maybe the o'ring was a bit too large or something.
