I just finished my keezer project, with the right tools, it only took 30mins. I started with the Kenmore 5cu ft freezer from Sears ($169), added a Johnson Controls temp regulator ($69 from local beer making supply shop), then simply followed the below sequential steps. Tools that you'll need: drill, hole bit, tape measure to find center of lid, 4" bolts/washers/nuts (you could use a board underneath, but with oversized washers, you'd have to kick the tower for it budge), and bolt cutters or hack saw (I used a hack saw). I saw several posts that said that the top is flimsy and that a board is needed for support - it's probably not a bad idea, but for now, this is very sturdy.
