imo, a fan running 24/7 to prevent temperature stratification is necessary in a chest freezer whether used for dispensing or fermenting.

It doesn't take much - an 80mm fan running at low speed is plenty...

Without a fan there will be warm/cold/stale spots. A fan ensures every cubic inch is relatively the same.

Beneficial? Yes
