Keezer collar w/o taps

Ok so I want the space for a 3rd keg but don't have the $ for the taps. Has anyone put in just the collar and put taps in at a later time? If so, can I just make the holes for the shanks with the collar in place?

Thats what I did, no problems there. Drill the holes out as you get taps.

They also come in chrome. They aren't airtight so expect more condensation

But use those to plug the holes for the shanks.
