Any Houstonites on here as stoked as I am for this brewery to open up? Supposed to start brewing in July with beer locally available by September. Finally, more then 1 craft brewery in Houston!

That's the one with some sort of connection to flying dog right? Hope they're as good, I'm pretty excited.

Went today for the tour. What a blast! It was very low key, and the guide explained their history well. We got the $12 option, which meant a 8oz tasting glass as well as a 16oz glass, which was filled to the brim with the provided tasting tokens. Yes, the brewery has ties to Flying Dog, the head brewer was previously employed there, and is clasically trained from Germany. Their beers are great, I'm very glad to see another Houston Brewery making it big! Please, visit the brewery when you get a chance, and bring a canned good, you'll get a dollar off the tour and also contribute to the Houston Food bank.

I actually had a chance to go to a karbach dinner at the down house restaurant. The first drink they gave us was a mixed drink with rodeo clown double ipa and gin and grapefruit juice I think. I can't really remember but I'm still thinking about it from November when I wen't.
I really liked their sympathy for the lager and hopadillo but the wheat beer they make was really watery, body was completely missing. It was the only disappointment of the night and may have just been a bad early batch.
