I have been kinda just randomly trying different specialty grains and such in my beers to see how they come out and was wondering what you guys thought of something like this:

5 gallons

7Lbs LME
.5lb Pale chocolate malt
.5lb honey malt

1oz czech saaz
1 oz challenger

I haven't done any calculations yet for og and bitterness and such just kinda of an off the cuff idea.

The malt/extract bill looks quite nice. Saaz and Challenger probably don't compliment one another very well. I'd either go with all Goldings and make it a Mild or use Challenger for bittering and Cascade for aroma/flavoring and call it an Amber.

Probably work ok. What are the hop additon times? If the challenger is for bittering hop (60+ min boil) then it won;t matter what kind they are. the Saaz should be for flavor aroma though.
