Just Wanted to Say Hi...

I've been lurking for a while- and wanted to wait until I had something worthwhile to say... But I couldn't wait

So... Hi- I'm a new homebrewer... I've brewed one batch of extract Dunkelweizen.

Knowing I've always been interested in homebrewing, for my birthday SWMBO took me to an on site brew place where I used their equipment to brew up the extract recipe.

It came out pretty good.

After that I was hooked. I'm now finalizing the last few pieces of gear I need for my first at home batch- hopefully I'll be brewing Memorial Day weekend.

So just wanted to say thanks... Because of the endless hours of reading this forum I've been doing for the last few weeks... I feel pretty confident that I'm making the "right" choices, and things will be ok come brew day!

Welcome...remember bad stuff will happen, but in the end the beer will be great.....when all else fails, jump on this site...trust me someone else has already gone thru it!

I successfully (at least so far) brewed a Saison Wort this weekend!

As we speak it's sitting in a water bath fermenting away- saw a nice thick layer of Krausen this morning.
