Just short of a 5 gallon batch

I boiled about 7 gallons last night and left to sit over night so it would be nice and distilled this morning. After adding extracts and boiling, I only had about 4 gallons in the fermenter. Should I boil more water and add to the fermenter or just leave it??

Was it a 5 gallon kit? If so and you leave it at 4 gallons it will be a stronger brew.

On the simple side, if a kit, they are designed to have top-up water added, just make sure it's the correct temp.

Check the gravity and dilute to the gravity you desire or what is on the recipe

The OG was 1.055 and supposed to be 1.049. After reading a few similar threads, I will probably just leave it and hope for a slightly stronger beer. Thanks for the timely responses, guys!
