just got 3 7.5 gallon carboys. they have a threaded neck and plastic caps. just need some rubber stoppers and time to ramp up production. have only used bucket for fermenting, but guess these are big enough for primary or seconadaries. I can tell you, these things full to the top are HEAVY!
 
Congrats! Those are probably not best for secondary as you want very little head space in secondary. Awesome for primary though, more room for the yeast to go nuts. One bit of advice, don't let yeast crusties sit in there for too long or they are very difficult to clean. Cheers, fill them up quick.
 
Thanks for the tip. I usually clean stuff right after use. Guess I will need to get a carboy brush though.
 
PBW with some hot water and 30 mins will take care of that without any problems.

I'll have to check that thread out. I'll be joining it right after I drop one of these bad boys.
