so 2.5 years ago I tried this hobby and quit after 1 failed kit beer and a cider experiment. but kinda had crappy off tastes do to fermenting at 90degrees in the summer...
well I gave it a shot and i'm 4 batches in of cider/wine/graff and just did a beer, was going thru my bottles and I found 3 bottles from my cider failure...kinda forget what I did but I think it was pretty simple 4 gallons apple juice 2 lb brown sugar and a crap ton of cinnamon and nutmeg. it tasted like vinegar when I made it lol...thru them in the fridge going to try one tonight lol.
