So I pitched my yeast than realized, ****! Forgot to take my OG reading. I did it after. Im afraid i'll have taken away yeast cells or something.. and I think my OG was under what it was supposed to be.

Did I ruin my beer?? :-(

Yup, send to to me for proper disposal :D

But seriously, you're fine. You'll get an accurate reading as long as fermentation hasn't already begun.

And as far as taking away yeast, you'll be fine. RDWHAHB

First batch and extract batch or all grain? If it was extract, it's hard to mess up the OG. Either didn't add all the extract, added too much top off water, or didn't mix the top off water fully and you're just reading more top off water than wort (the last is the most frequent). In the last case fermentation will mix it all up for you. Regardless, nothing to do now but let it ride.

Outside of determining yeast pitching rates (which I base on my estimation from my recipe) OG isn't really a critical number anyway (unless you're trying to fine tune your process or need an approximation of your beer's ABV)

Provided everything was properly sanitized, you'll be fine.

Worst case scenario: you made beer.

Best case scenario: you made good beer.

Don't worry.

Relax don't worry have a home brew! (RDWHAHB)

This is the jedi mantra for home brewers. I've come to understand how true it is.
Like slurm said you'll have beer.
