Ok brewed yesterday about 5pm to 8pm eastern. Used a basic dry light malt extract 5 lbs. 2 lbs of cracked carmel 60. 1 oz semicole whole hops 1 oz cascade and one oz of magnum. Add at 60 15 5. Started with 3 gallons boiled to about 2.5 then 3 boiled to about 2.5 for the wort. Up until this batch usually only had an inch of trub. This one is busting out of the air lock. I tried to be consistant the few things that are different. I didn't use mesh over my funnel just dumped it all in the carboy. I used a fan in the room to help control temp. I also used a black t shirt over the carboy to block light. I was using a thicker towel but figured that was raising the temp. Can those things make that big a differance? Oh an used safale 04 yeast. Also I know I can't spell and didn't want to go to dictionary.com cause I am on my smart phone and it would take forever so please don't comment if that's the only input you have.
