So I just bottled my wheat beer and I have to be honest, after tasting the left overs, it was pretty watery. Is this normal or will the flavor improve after carbonation? and if not, where might I have gone wrong?

Many Thanks

Oh no I was just asking to make sure you dud, otherwise if it was it own recipe you might have put too little of base malt. What was ur og and how long you had it sit in fermentor? I'm pretty sure it will improve over time.

ive had a brew like this before. I tasted the beer prior to carbonating, tasted really watery and kinda thin. After carbonation tasted just fine. You'll be alright. Definatley check og next time though.

4oz german munich malt specialty grains

6lbs wheat DME 65% wheat 35% barley
1 oz german halertau

1.25 cup same DME for primer bottling

my second batch was calagione's blood orange wheat from extract. it was definitely thinner before carbonation but three weeks later it was very good.

I just finished my first batch of beer and before carbonation, it tasted a bit sweet and a few other various oddities( couldn't tell you what they were). When it got carbonated, it was delicious.
