G'day from SA! Here in South Australia a carton of the Cooper's Ale I drink has topped $60 due to the excise system introduced by John Howard's Coalition government years ago, so I'm going to have to find other options, and swapping to a cheaper beer is unthinkable! I have had a Cooper's Ale brew kit for a while, but I seriously question my ability to keep a keg under 32c most of the year. Now in the middle of winter I thought I might have a chance of making some alcoholic fruit juice as I saw a guy on YT doing. I came across this forum while wondering if it would be possible to make a Sparkling Fruit 'Cider'. I see that what I saw the guy doing was 'Pappy's Recipe' in the original plastic 2 litre fruit juice bottles and then decanting to glass. Still not sure about carbonation, but I'd only just started reading when I was prompted to Sign In.
Background - 55 years old, disabled due to Juvenile Onset Osteoarthritis, married, 2 daughters, 2 granddaughters, singing professionally since the late 80s, moved 300 kms north to the Riverland in 2019, recording music at home due to now being a 3 or 4 hour drive away from my bandmates, other hobbies are keeping scorpions and tarantulas among other pets, and growing tropical fruit from seed in a temperate arid climate. Now adding making my own alcohol to the list! Cheers Big Ears!
