I can't speak for those other places, but at Spec's we haven't received any JK bottles (outside of Fantome Del Rey) in a while. I don't even think Petite Prince was on the to go menu at JK this weekend though.I wanted to buy a number of le Petit Prince for July 4th when in Austin today and completely struck out. When did shelf JK's become rare? I went to Lamar Whole Foods, S. Lamar and N. Lamar Central Markets, Spec's Brodie, then called Whip In and Sunrise Mini-Mart before heading over, and they were all out. East 1st Grocery had one bottle, but I was on the other side of town and basically said screw it already. Crap!
Havent seen Prince or even noble king/wunderkind in a while. Used to be all over in SA.I wanted to buy a number of le Petit Prince for July 4th when in Austin today and completely struck out. This has to do with working with our mixed culture for fermentation. We don't brew beers like Le Petit Prince, Noble King, etc. in the cooler months of the year (November to March), because our mixed culture tends not to produce the flavors and aromas we want. We brew these beers from about April to October when we can ramp fermentation temperatures up into the 80s and 90s. This is one reason why we consider our beers to be linked to both a place and a time.I wanted to buy a number of le Petit Prince for July 4th when in Austin today and completely struck out. Hey Jeff, on this note, what temperature do you typically aim for when doing the Fruited releases? Curious about Uberkind as well as the fruit refermentations. This has to do with working with our mixed culture for fermentation. Beers like Wytchmaker, Le Petit Prince, Snorkel, etc. have been brewed over the last few months and aren't too far from release. For instance, Flood Independent Distribution is picking up Wytchmaker this week.
Our fruit refermentations are typically around 60 to 65F. We keep our barrel room at that temp.Hey Jeff, on this note, what temperature do you typically aim for when doing the Fruited releases? Curious about Uberkind as well as the fruit refermentations.
Have the most recent JK Zwanze glass up for grabs if anyone needs/wants one. Happy to help a fellow TB member.

MvB yield is about the same as Atrial
We'll release Detritivore again this year. We're making more Synthesis Analogous this year for release sometime in the future.I'm over here wondering if I'll ever get to try Detritivore and Synthesis Analogous.
