Its the hops!

I'm interested in building an automated system that will give me 12-15 litres into the FV.

My bigest issue is the addition of hops, if I have to do it manually then there isn't enough reason to automate beyond a base level of PID temperature control.

I have thought up a number of ways to add hops but for the most part they would either create a lot of washing up or require significant engineering to build.

One concern raised by the small quantity of hops needed is that they must not stick to the chute or mechanism that add them to the boil.

I'd very much value any ideas you would like to contribute.

There are a couple of automated efforts at adding hops to a kettle documented in the HBT forums.
