I have brewed from kits, but my Daddy did a home brew with raisins. He died when I was 15 YOA. I have no idea as to other ingredients, but he did produce at least one case of it. Any help with ingredients, processes, equipment or anything else that you might need to say would be greatly appreciated to this novice, in duplicating his brew.

It’s fun to chase the nostalgia of past beers.

Do you have any additional information on this raisin drink? Was it beer? What color was it? What kind of beers did he drink, etc.

I have heard of people adding raisins to meads as it was once thought to give something more for the yeast to consume and attribute to better yeast health. I'm not sure of the veracity of those claims or if this is still practiced today. But that is really the only time I've seen raisins connected to homebrewing....
