Is this scoby growth?

I attempted to grow my own scoby from a bottle of kombucha and tea and sugar.... the thing is I couldn’t find just plain kombucha so I decided to get gingerade by GT. I read somewhere else that worked for someone in a pinch. It’s been sitting for only about a day, but does this look like scoby growth to you? The stringy stuff at the top? Or is that just yeast. Please let me know, I attached photos. Thanks.
