Looks similar to the cereal killer I bought which works fine for me.

The first one looks like the Kegco two roller mill, with ball bearings. Second one is a similar mill design, but looks like it might have bushings instead of ball bearings, but can't really tell from the pictures. My choice would be the first one, but it's your choice. Either one is a good price for a two roll mill.

That mill looks ok. What do you see that you don't like?

As to you not being sure what you want or how much to pay for it, only you can answer that. Are you looking for an economic justification for the cost of a mill?

Given the price point, why not buy from a reputable online retailer who sells a Cereal Killer than someone on Ebay who sells a generic whatever-it-is?

You can pick up the Cereal Killer for $99 including shipping. It's used by a lot of people and it's a good mill.

There have been a few threads about the ebay mills, and very few of them are positive. For the extra $20ish I would go with a Kegco or Cereal Killer, and stay away from the eBay mills, as well as the Barley Crusher (I was never really happy with it but it does have a warranty).

It might look just like the cereal killer, but the critical components i.e. bearings and rollers will be made of inferior materials. Someone posted a couple of weeks ago a photo of that ebay lookalike mill showing the input shaft snapped right off. That sort of failure should never happen with even mild steel, let alone shaft grade material. Total garbage. The CK is only $99 shipped. Buy once, cry once.

I have that exact mill. I don't brew very often and for the money its fine. Its affordable and solid. Except for that I chucked up my cordless drill instead of installing the manual crank handle .I cut a hole to mount it on a 5 gallon bucket lid, no dust ,no mess. I mill 10 lbs of grain in about 3 minutes. Only thing is I wish the hopper were bigger but with a little sheet aluminum and a few rivets ,one could make it as big as needed. As it is , when I break it down for storage the mill with the supplied hopper fits right inside a 5 gallon bucket with solid lid on. Buy it , you won't regret it.

I agree with mongoose. I have owned a cereal killer for 2 years and it works fine. Not worth the risk with an eBay seller over $20.
