Is my beer ruined?

So I bought a brooklyn brew shop kit. American pale ale to be exact. Used all the ingredients and supplies it came with.
I let my brew ferment for 2 weeks and when I went to put the brew into a pot to mix my honey and water mixture I accidently added some water with the sanitizer in it. What happened was I was starting the siphon, so I filled the tube with sanitized water and dropped it in my brew, and when I was supposed to put the other end in the sink and open it up until beer started coming out, I wasn't thinking and put it in my pot where my brew was. So about 1/2 - 3/4 cup of sanitized water went in my brew.
Is it ruined? Or safe to drink? Not sure of the brand of sanitizer, it was the packet that came with the brooklyn brew shop kit.
This was my first batch so please let me know so I can either know it's safe, or throw it out and start over.
Thanks,
-Dan

Relax, see it out. If it tastes bad don't drink it. Learn from your mistakes. Nothing in there will get you sick. It will probably be OK.

You're good... It should only kill a few more brain cells than the alcohol would. :drunk:

Find out the type of sanitizer... It's probably fine. That small of an amount in a 5 gallon batch is pretty dilute, too. Star San for instance is mostly a phosphoric acid blend ... Same stuff as in coca cola :)

Probably not going to be an issue. I have cold crashed with a blowout tube and sucked a pint of sanitized water into my beer. Turned out fine.

Yeah, if it's StarSan you should be okay. If it's a chlorine/water mix, it'll just make your beer taste slightly like pool water.

meh, the website doesn't mention the brand of sanitizer. So was the honey a back-sweetener? If secondary fermentation took off than you're all good. If secondary fermentation didn't take place and you added fermentable sugars, then you might have sanitized your yeast and you will get the back sweetening you were after.

otherwise I think you're good to go. RDWHAHB

I think Brooklyn brew suggests it as an optional primer. They list that or cane sugar
