fwiw, I came across this on the brewmasterwholesale.com site some time ago.

"Cellar Science takes the best winemaking and brewing products from across the world, and packages them in convenient sizes for you. Our yeast is packaged in a dedicated, state of the art room with HEPA filtration."

So, they're breakers, taking commercial sized products and repackaging them into sizes for retail...

Cheers!
ill take the extra gram and the lower price thank you very much .

I’m done (for now) using official lager yeast and keeping the fermentation temp down. Im trying Novalager next and probably diamond after that.
Got a vienna lager with novalager going now. Initial taste still had some diacetyl, but from what I have read it still needs a short lager period. That is where I am at.

I wonder if the Lallemand could be derived from the same yeast as 34/70, but without the extra nutrients or whatever treatment Fermetis uses to make their yeast more successful with dry pitch.

EDIT: I mean.... look at what CS offers and then ask yourself if ANY of their yeasts aren't also available from Fermentis. And I haven't looked at the specs but I imagine they're about the same as well.
I am 99% sure that Cellar Science is yeast from AEB (maybe Apex as well): https://www.aeb-group.com/us/beer/biotechnology/yeasts There is a very close mapping. I would note that AEB and CS both sell a dry version of Hornindal, which I have not seen from other sources (CS only sells in 500g pack size).

i just saw a post on a european board that says that lallemand diamond lager is the same as fermentis 34/70
I was thinking about brewing a Helles tomorrow and splitting it between W-34/70 and Diamond. I tried to order a pack of CS German on my recent order, but they were out of stock.

I don't think Diamond and W-34/70 are the same strain. Maybe from the same source, but I've compared them directly and Diamond always throws very strong red apple esters when the beer is young. Long conditioning will make that disappear and leaves a clean tasting beer. 34/70 does not have this particular flavour to it, but it does also take a while before the flavour is right
