is it Better to use glass/Pyrex pots rather than metal?

I've been using a metal pot to make the wort, but I was thinking about buying glass or Pyrex pots because they seem more sanitary. Will it really make any difference?
 
If you happen to find a ? gallon Pyrex pot, I would use extreme caution. It's sounds dangerous.

Corning glass has been making glass cookware in the shape of pots and pans for years and years. Safe for cooktops and ovens. They usually have a tint to them...yellow, brown, purple. There's probably other colors to the pyrex cookware.
They problem would be size. How big did you want? I think the largest one I've seen was about 1-1/2 maybe 2 gal.
 
I was thinking about a gallon pot, I noticed that lab equipment is always glass, and I keep reading that sanitation its important when brewing. But if it doesn't make any difference then I guess there is no point in buying it.
 
Boiling wort in a gallon pot is not very good practice. You get crummy hops utilization that way. Not to mention you may boil off half of your one gallon in a boil of even 45 minutes.

Sanitation is very important in brewing...on the "cold side", meaning everything after the boil. Up until that point it doesn't matter too much, since you are boiling your wort for an hour, that will kill the nasties that may be there beforehand. It is still good practice to keep your stuff clean, of course.
