So... good quantities of that Desert Ghost hitting the states? I'm doubtful Oregon will get any. If any one has some sitting on the shelf so to speak (preferably still in a box so it's not light struck), want to pick me up a few? Could trade for De Garde or send $ and thank yous.
According to one of our Brewers, Tin Bucket got some in yesterday. I have no idea if anywhere else did, but it seems plausible. I'm also very interested!

What's the deal with these Arizona Wildnerness guys? They have seemingly come from nowhere and I loathe their aesthetic. Do they make good beer?

I've enjoyed most of what I've sampled from them. Have definitely benefitted from the raging homerism that pervades the AZ ticker community. They've done a few collabs over here now and have a rep for being thoroughly decent chaps.

I think that was the beer referenced in the interview when danyP said he didn't even bother to taste to the 'collabs' and that it wasn't so much a collaboration as Az Wilderness showing up with the ingredients to brew there.

So has anyone tried it? It showed up in Detroit, but so did a bunch of other Tomes, along with Holy Mountain, Jester King, 3F and a bunch of other stuff all on the same day. I didn't grab one, but I still might.

I'm a Fantome neophyte what's the best of the lot? I grabbed Dark White and Forrest.

I couldn't pull the trigger on the Chocolat

Sideswipe care to comment?

I've enjoyed the couple John has sent since he moved out to Arizona.
I'm at AZ Wilderness two to three times a week. I have enjoyed everything I've had there. All good to very good imo. They have a single hop Nelson IPA on right now that is fantastic. Their BA and coffee stouts are solid. The various goses have all been tasty. The food is good too. Glad they're close by.

Found a few of these today, first Oregon tomes in a while. This is really nice. Reminds me of older Sur Lie, some faint herb and dry pepper finish with fruit up front.

What kind of shelf tomes? We have many/ some.*

* non of the really good ones. Forest stuff is latest turd.
In Raleigh I've seen a total of a single case of Hiver dropped since I started drinking beer in 2013. So, the kind with a ghost on them, but esp any of the recent stuff (Desert, Forest) and still wanna try Coffee Ruby

Had to open as soon as it cooled down.

Herbal and tropical fruit aroma, estery lots of funky yeast going on.

Definitely an overripe mango/peach thing going on, then dusty funk and some herbaceous mystery stuff on the swallow. Nice and light, not overly carbed. Not sad about this one.

Yeah I got some floral stuff but nothing crazy overpowering, nice balance between fruity yeast and the flowers and spices.

However this bottle of saison is the best ******* thing I have had all year. Period. Seriously what the **** is in this? Tastes like sunshine.

Did you get that at the same time? A new shipment of Sur Lie arrived but has no date code, can't wait to try it.
