Just moved into my new place so I gotta let the tomes of old out. This is the oldest I've had yet, by about a decade.

Oxidation has set in but in a very good way. It has transformed into a tart candied apple flavor. I've only had lambics this old and like them this definitely shows me of how a beer can age gracefully even with oxidation. Carbonation is still there and cork came out with ease.

This is so freaking good and drinkable, good thing this was the last bottle on etre or I would be buying the rest tonight!
Dat glass

Checking in on my first Del Rey courtesy of shelf_turd_ferguson.

This nose on this one is insane, the floral sweet honey and musky, funky tart fruit smell is followed by faint spicy pepper.

Flavor is green apple, caramel, earth, honey, a bit of peppercorn tingle closed with a bit of citrus peel-like tartness. Classic Fantome yeast and Jester King flora work well to add a bit of sour twang and complexity to the sweetness of some Fantome offerings. Not getting any real slickness. The Abv is incredibly well hidden.

Would smash again 100%

Can't get enough Pissenlit.

First tome ink on here? New tattoo just got done.

thunderbirdesq I feel sorry for making fun of your tatt!

Email me your home address and I'll send you a Pekko hopped Fantome clone I brewed ( very close if Dany brewed one)

This beer will take away the pain your body went through... and might even close the pain of mental scars for getting a beer tatt on your body... Just like the hipsters do (or the "lumbersexuals" I see in San Francisco with PBR Tatts...( just saying)

I would love to try your Fantome clone, no worries man, I figured it would cause a bit of "oh why did you do that?" however, I do believe this is a step up from the afformentioned "lumbersexuals" and their pbr tats.

Honest question as someone who will most likely never get a tattoo.

What made you get the tome ghost? I think it's cool but do you have plans to get more around it?
Great question. I have been trying to decide what my next tattoo should be for the last 2 years, a few months ago I was convinced as a beer geek and huge fan of Fantome, the idea, the beers, and the place itself. One day I will visit the brewery I hope and this was me basically committing to being a slave to the ghost. Every Fantome bottle I open makes me feel a multitude of feelings, my other tattoos are done in similar design and fashion, they all represent aspects of my life that are important in my own particular way.
