Is Fantome "back"?

I ordered more Dalmatienne because I am the only person who apparently didn't like it.

Too lazy to post pics, but I opened the recent bottling of Dark White. It was okay. Had that heavy, estery profile of recent Saisons. Could be good in another year, but I wasn't waiting that long.

Just opened this and holy **** is it good.
That unexplainable delicious Fantome quality, amazing

I've been sitting on a Hiver for a couple of years, I found it on a shelf in the Warren Store while grabbing Lawson's Maple Trippel. It gushed upon opening and continued to lava spew until thoroughly turbid. It kinda looked like a Fantome snowglobe replete with chunky bottom flurries. The beer on the counter tasted fantastic until the burnt plastic washed over tongue.

I honestly think dany ships all the gushers overseas. I've never had a gusher on this side of the pond.

I love ya danyp

I often wonder if it has anything to do with environmental factors (pressure/humidity/temperature variances). Offhand I can't think of a single time I've had a tome gush in over a decade of drinking it here (other than from the bad years). I also have had gushing issues with almost every US PNW region beer I've opened here (new Orleans). I know those statements are totally anecdotal, I have no evidence for this and haven't looked into it whatsoever, but every time I hear someone describe a gusher that isn't infected (obviously this guys tome was from the bandaid era) the thought crosses my mind. it just seems out of sorts for so many breweries to have carb issues that are discrepant both within and between batches. I guess I just suspect there is more to it than repetitious brewer/equipment inconsistencies.

My latest order from etre gourmet has been sitting in customs LAX since the 13th... It doesn't look good!!! ******* Pissed!

danyP has the original artwork from this label already been sold?

I can't say what this beer was when fresh, but currently is spectacular.
I didn't know this beer existed, but happened to catch the ghost peeking from behind another bottle at the shop. So glad I dropped the coin on it.
It was ok... Truly I love Dany's beers that are lower in the SRM chart... The funk shines through a lot more (Better to my taste) the malt doesn't over power it (the Tome Funk) But I did enjoy the la Dalmatienne (Dark) a couple years back...
Cheers!
Still pissed that those "C" suckers in Customs took 11 of my new la Dalmatienne & one 19 Sante from etre gourmet...

Still high 20$'s?

I so wish somewhere would drop the price on this. At $15ish i'll buy a bunch, at $27ish i'll live on memories.

Cracked a Ghost tonight for Halloween because ya ******' gotta.

Got a box from Etre that hit JFK customs at 12:05am, and it was delivered to my door in Maryland at 11am. I was so excited, that I put a Printemps in my fridge to chill for about 8 hours. Apparently that wasn't enough.

****** gushed all over my kitchen. I forgave it though, because the '15 Printemps release is scratching all my itches. I love this beer.

Drinking a Dark White from most recent batch, tastes kind of like the 2015 Saison I had the other night but a little less fruity and some black pepper/smoke. Good but I wouldn't buy another.

The Saison I has was from he most recent US label batch, the one that's been up on Etre. Definitely good but not an exceptional batch like the recent Belgian labels seem to be.

Also tried Coffee Ruby Dark recently, I might be the exception in this but I really liked it, probably better than regular Coffee Ruby. It had a bit of rubber flavor on the finish but otherwise a really good coffee brown. But not really funky or anything, just a dark coffee beer.

Drank some 'tomes this weekend.

That cuvee made my stomach hurt.

Hey look, it's my left hemisphere just lounging around back there.

The dreg cuvee really was better than it had any right to be. Sure, your stomach will feel strange for a while, but you'll appreciate the incredibly efficient digestion that follows.
