A friend of mine contacted Dany for informations about Fantome Blanche and he told us that its the same beer as Pamplemousse. I thought some of you might be interested in hearing this.

Been some rumors to that, happy it's confirmed (and I just ordered 6 more bottles).

That explains why this batch is straight grapefruit juice and prior batches were all lemony. Now, if only he would care to explain why the new batch of ete is nothing like any prior version.

This is the first beer I've smelled that makes me think of weed right away, and not in a "dank bro I'm a dumbshit jock" kind of way, but in a "end of a weed-pipe and I wish there was more in the bowl", then grapefruit, banana, passionfruit.

mix of 2 yeasts of my own.. too bitter ..?. nothing to compare with the classic iPa from lots of brews.. ??..
I really liked my first bottle. I look forward to opening another. Would buy more.

Also - guess I've lucked out? Only bad bottle I've had was a smoky pisselnet. Saison(mult), Hiver(mult), Noel, Bon Bons, Dark White, Boo, perhaps more? have been interesting and pleasing!

Fantôme Chocolat and De Tous Les D'iâpes were excellent, Brise-Bonbons was decent, and Magic Ghost and Saison were pretty bad. 50/50 for me so far but so long as the good ones are as good as the ones I've had it's still amazing value for money.

had the latest batch of brise-bonbons...not bad but will definitely benefit with some time in the bottle

The last Saison I had (newer label) was terrible. A little on the flat side, overly phenolic (like bad saison homebrew), and just...off.

I love Fantome :)
