I just aquired a 14 inch 44 tip burner from a friend and im wondering if this is overkill for the 15 gallon keggle im building. I have seen ratings from 200,000 to 350,000 btu's for this burner.:rockin:
Do a search on the forum. There are lots of threads on jet burners. After you read the threads you can decide for yourself. IMHO you will end up plugging a lot of the jets to make it work but thats just me.
I personally have found those jet burners to be extremely inefficient. I have built 3 10 gal systems with the 21 jet burners and now 2 20 gal systems with high pressure burners from tejassmokers.com. Recently my buddy and I brewed with both our systems side by side his using the 32 tip burners for 10 gal and mine using the high pressure burners for 20 gal. He used a full propane tank and I used not even half a tank. The jet burners put out an insane amount of heat but i feel most of it is wasted.
Thanks for the offer but i already have both. i got them for next to nothing in a trade so ill probably
just remove half the tips and use it that way..
