A Texan walks into a pub in Ireland and offers to give $500 dollars to anybody who can drink 10 pints of stout back-to-back. The room goes quiet and no one takes up the offer. One man even leaves. Thirty minutes later the man returns and taps the Texan on the shoulder and says he will take the bet. So the bartender lines up 10 pints and the man drinks them all back-to-back. The pub patrons cheer as the Texan sits in amazement. After paying the man, he asks him where he had gone? The Irishman replies, "Oh...I had to go to the pub down the street to see if I could do it first."
