Does anyone else experience this? After mash, when I switch my controller to manual mode, it will not send power to the element if the set value is below the wort temp. Shouldn’t the SV not affect the output in manual mode? Aren’t I just using the output based on PW? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Set the temp to 220f and problem solved.

That would work if my temp probe was in the kettle. Mine is in a t just out of the kettle and I monitor temp while recirculating the mash. Once that’s done, I just want to use the controller to control the boil.
Thanks though!

There is still nothing about that scenario that wont work. You can still put the unit into manual mode and set a pwm output, say to 80%. You just have to set SV to something that the PV will never reach. If you set SV to 220F the unit will fire the element.
