Hello to all from Sun Prairie Wisconsin!

I've been brewing since 2004 and have had a lot of fun trying new recipes. A friend of ours (our veterinarian Dr. Chris Pagel) helped my husband and I get started and made sure to stress sanitation. I haven't had a bad batch so far and all our friends have enjoyed trying our newest attempts.

We've recently had friends over to help us pick apples and pears and press them for making ciders. I have a new batch of hard cider that we prepped and should be able to try some for Christmas. The previous ones I've made have been nice and dry with a great apple flavor.

My main brews are melomels (pineapple, apple, raspberry, strawberry) and some extract beers (porters, ales and stouts). I am hopeful that I can continue to improve my results and learn more about the science behind the brew.

Welcome fellow CheeseHead!! It is a great spot to learn and maybe help somebody out. There are a couple of people from the "Madison Area" in the forum and a few more in the Milwaukee area. There is a lot of info on this site so searching for a topic should result in something. If you have any questions feel free to post them. Happy Brewing.

Welcome Ann

Looking forward to hearing about your cider and meads. It's something I'm eager to try brewing but haven't gotten to it yet. In fact, I'm sitting on 10# of honey from Arena, WI - trying to figure out what to make with it.

Cheers :mug:

Welcome. Sun Prairie is a nice town - my sister lives there.

Enjoy the forum - good advice and friendly folks.
