Hello all, figured that I should probably post something up since I've been lurking on and off all year.
I am a paleontologist and anatomist in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, who on my spare time makes and sells chain mail items on Etsy. Last fall my wife, who also makes and sells jewelry there, found a basic 1 gallon beer kit for sale, and we decided to buy it and give brewing a try. Little did I know that my sister totally independently decided to get me a kit, and three mixes, from Brooklyn for Christmas! I guess it was fated.
First batch was a brown ale, which surprisingly didn't suck. Now on is an APA, next will be a Belgian style. I'm definitely hooked!
