Greetings all!
Ive been reading this forum for a month or so now and finally registered. The quality of information here is wonderful and the atmosphere seems top notch. My wife and I just got into home brewing after we realized how our taste for craft brews was effecting our bank account! That and my parents kindly got us a brewmaster kit from Midwest supply.
Quick question: Our first brew was a 20 minute boil kit Amber Bock ..we used the dry ale yeast that came with it. I made the Terrible mistake of pouring the still hot wort from kettle to ferment pale. I was thinking that I needed to shake things up to add dissolved oxygen for the yeast. Now I realize this should be done only after the wort has cooled prior to pitching. Well, Is this gonna make this batch oxidized and wet card board tasting? Its now just about 2 weeks fermenting, smells good. We siphoned to a secondary carboy and got a FG of 1.02 the OG was 1.05
