I'm trying to scale up some recipes from 5 gal to 15BBl. I have been reading that grains for the most part increase linearly. But under that logic if i use 8lbs of grains in a 5 gal batch , does that mean for a 15BBL batch i would need to use 744lbs !!!???
the math there : 15BBL = 465 gal . 465/5=93, 5 gallon batches . 8 lbs per 5 gal batch = 8X93= 744lb.
That just seems like a HELL OF ALLOT of grain for 1 batch of beer .
Thanks for the help guys .
