So I am looking to try to change my brew process a little. I am planning on fermenting in a corny keg, but since it sounds like a full 5 gal batch is too much for a corny keg, I was planning on trying to do an 8 gal batch, and split it onto 2 kegs for fermentation with 4 gal each.

Basic question, does a recipe scale up? Is there any consideration I am not thinking about with the larger batch size other than kettle size?

Thanks!

Yes a recipe can scale up, just divide the recipe by 5 and then take that number and add 3 times that to your 5 gallon recipe.

I think there are online calculators that you can scale up the recipe that way also.
