Hey all, quick question regarding ABV. I want to make a holiday beer, and I think I'm gonna base it off of a brown ale. I'm making a RIS the same day, so wanted something a little lighter rather than having 2 real heavy beers.

My question is this... I found a recipe that states the abv will be around 6%. I want more like 7%, and I'll hopefully curb the alcohol content with the spices I add, etc... To get another 1% abv, how much would I need to increase my grain bill, and obviously I'll have to recalculate hops as well, but again, I'm going to spice this beer up, so any issues I can probably fix in the secondary. Thanks in advance!
