I have done a dry Irish stout kit. It turned out alright. Under carbonated but that was my fault.

I'm also having a problem searching for recipes and I'm not sure why.

Now I'm looking for a stout style I'd prefer. I do like oatmeal stout (st ambroise is probably one of my favourite), but I'm not sure how easy that is as I haven't done any mashing (and honestly not sure I have equipment for it).

If I could get its either with a coffee or chocolate flavour in it would be ideal. Granted at this point I'm not opposed to to getting anything going.

While I will love to do an imperial or double style. Currently I'm looking at getting something done on the quicker side. And I will be bottling in it matters.

I haven't been dealing with my local shop long (as I haven't been brewing long), I do know that they don't deal in kits, unsure how they are about having recipes on hand.

And unfortunately shipping and exchange rate kills that online site being from Canada

You can try searching the recipe database of this site on a computer (if you are using the app it isn't very easy).

You can start with a book like brewing classic styles (http://amzn.to/2jNOh9x) it has a lot of recipes both all grain and extract options. That book helped me a lot.

Any decent LHBS should be able to make recommendations, if they don't have house recipes they likely have a favorite book or website that is easily accessible at the shop. If it's small or they are busy, look at their books/home brew magazines- you might find something there worth trying.
