Hello
I recently bought an anvil 7gal fermentor. Shortly I will be fermenting a few ciders and some beer.

My question- are people really planning on disassembling the ball valve between batches? Excuse me if it’s a dumb q but I’m coming from 20 years of using plastic bucket fermentors. Before kegging, I used a the same bottling bucket for years and never worried about the plastic spiggot.

Thanks

Disassemble it or don't....at some point I imagine you'll need to...some people are just more paranoid than others.

I disassemble the valves in my Blichmann fermenators once a year ...I've never really found anything terribly exciting , but I like to be sure.

That’s kinda what I was thinking. The instructions said to disassemble every use but I figured that was nuts. I’ll probably run oxi and starsan through it and dry it out properly. Then every 5 or 6 batches maybe take apart.
