so i was on CHI company's website and saw a "Taprite Secondary Reg" for like $25, new in box. So, I jumped on it without looking into too much detail...

So i got it, and it has a 0-100psi gauge on it. weird...also has MFL connections everywhere, and no shut-off valve. also kind of weird....

so I finally looked into it....its a secondary reg for a soda system....

they look identical. I called up taprite, and they said i should be fine. The output has a check valve, but no manual shutoff. Haven't decided if i'm gonna put one in or not, donno if it's worth it. i'm gonna get a new gauge at least...

Got a similar Taprite secondary on eBay. Replaced the check-valve that came with it with a shut-off valve with built-in check-valve. Works fine.

:off:
Really, I'm not a stalker. :D

haha! yeah i was just looking at a replacement valve, like $8 or something.

it didn't hit me until i was putting together the kegconnection order for gas lines/clamps, etc. i kept adding stuff and then I'm like, why does it take this much crap to add a secondary reg? All these MFL connectors....MFL? wtf?

then, i did some researching....

hey AnOldUR-

mine's been working fine, but i've noticed that the soda reg seems to have a much smaller flowrate than a beer...is that just my imagination?

Could be, but I never noticed it. I have a string of three of the Taprite soda regulators in my upstairs keezer, but normally only put kegs in there that have already been sitting on gas in the basement for a while.
