Using columbus hops, since they have the spicy earthy slightly citrusy taste, I thought that the combination of spices with the IIPA would be interesting. I love spices like cloves, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice. Ive never used columbus hops before and when i tried making a tea of the hops and spices i really only tasted the hops. Input?

My input: start with just the hops. Try the spices afterward... a lot of people go too crazy with the spices right off the bat, and the hops get kind of lost in the shuffle. (Usually it's coriander in a wheat, where there isn't much hop aroma according to BJCP guidelines, but still -- cool it with the spices, peeps!) ;)
